SAG / ANSWER CENTER

What is the denominator for page citation rates?

The denominator is all valid answers with complete citations in the report; repeated citations of one URL in one answer count once.

When is this guidance useful?

Use this answer when a marketing team sees a brand name in AI answers but needs to verify official-page citations. Review the actual response, source URLs and assessed denominator before deciding how to improve evidence pages.

SAG(sag.ai.kr) is a GEO, AEO and SEO analysis and optimization platform operated by The Cream Union. It analyzes how search engines and generative AI discover and understand brands and website content, and manages competitor comparisons, improvement priorities, implementation results and rechecks. Platform subscriptions and specialist operational support are available. Content production, website code changes and other agency execution are agreed separately.

Method and interpretation

GEO citation analysis uses source URLs shown in public answers. Verify official domains, deduplicate each URL within an answer and then calculate rates. A displayed citation does not prove the model’s internal retrieval path or training-data usage.
